Yay – the sun has been out

It has been a sensational day today so Simon cut the grass in the garden and Olly played out for more of the day until we went to collect Elly from school.

They both played out when we got home and after they had their tea πŸ™‚

The BOSE SoundDock Portable was collected by UPS this morning and will be approximately two weeks before it is returned to us hopefully in a fixed state πŸ™‚

Daddy has decided to buy himself a machine dual action polisher for his birthday so hopefully will be practising on Bobby by the end of the week before sorting out Bruce and Tina……

Gulp… :-s

The boys first sleepover

We dropped the boys both off at Grandma Cuckoo’s for a sleepover. They were pretty excited as they were going to be planting some seeds in pots up at Nards while they were n their little trip.

This was actually their first ever sleepover without mummy and daddy so we were slightly worried.

Turns out that they were not really that bothered about not being with Mummy and daddy, and seemingly had a great time at Grandma’s.

Mummy and daddy on the other hand had much less fun – we set out in Tina to go shopping and headed to Bradford, only to find that the only place to park was the multi storey car park, cand given we were in Tina, we decided that it was a bad idea. It also did not help that the rain was pouring down. :-(. So, we head out to Birstall to go to the cinema – only when we arrived there was nothing on for over an hour :-(. so we ended up walking around IKEA looking for furniture for the conservatory, and then having a coffee in Costa before heading home.

We managed to get a nice meal out at Brasserie Forty 4 in Leeds – we took Bobby for this drive πŸ™‚ We managed to get back to Ossett in time to go out for a few beers with Uncle Tim

We finished the weekend off with Dinner at Grandma’s when we collected the boys.

Poorly Olly :-(

Since waking at approx 10am, poor Olly has been sick 3 times now πŸ™ Β At least on the second two occasions he advised us of the upcoming issue – the first time daddy was not so lucky – Olly unloaded all over daddy and ultimately this required a shower and a complete change of clothes.. πŸ™ Jeans, t-shirt, jumper AND coat all destined for the washing machine…

Interestingly enough, Elly was sick just the once on Saturday when we got back so maybe they picked something up at the airport or en-route…

Are we sleeping yet?

We have been back at home now for two days / two nights, and on both nights we have had four in the bed πŸ™

Elly has woken up crying from some form of nightmares – last night there were apparently some baddies breaking up his bedroom πŸ™ Β Olly on the other hand has just not got the timezone right and as a consequence has got a couple of hours of sleep in, and then wanted to get up and play πŸ™

So, now it is 9am and he is still fast asleep showing no signs of waking just yet – perhaps we will go up and prod him to wake him – see how he likes it…

Day 9 – home :-(

The last day has arrived and is now almost over sadly. We have said our sad goodbyes to the Folks and are now sitting in the departure lounge waiting for Flight 74 to Manchester with Virgin Atlantic.

It has been a frantic 10 days, with the false start and then the miles of walking around the Disney Parks.

we have made early plans to head to the Bahamas next year πŸ™‚ Roll on Summer 2013
